Long lifetime of the roof means less waste material

A roof covered with Icopal membranes or Decra steel tiles will on the average last some 25 years.
This alone brings the volume of waste material generated per year to a minimum. Furthermore, the renovation of existing roofs is very often performed keeping the old roofing material on the roof, and adding new roofing products as merely a new top layer. This eases the renovation process and reduces the amount of waste material even further.

Further enhancing the focus on recycling and hereby reducing the amount of waste material the Icopal company Esha recently initiated a project of recycling of old bitumen roofs into new bitumen membranes.
